Speech & Drama for Kids
What will your child learn in Speech & Drama?
During each class, we’ll use acting exercises to learn public speaking, communication, and social skills. This is paramount for children as they progress in school.
In addition to the life skills they’ll learn, we’ll also be covering the foundations of drama. Each class is designed to be a fun, creative space where children and explore and foster their imagination while improving on skills that will serve them well as adults.
The Foundations of Drama:

To express emotions through creative interpretation and performance.

To create and portray believable characters through fostering empathy, observation and embodiment.

To enhance communication skills, promote creativity and explore diverse perspectives and narratives.

To explore social, cultural, and personal issues through role-play.

To master skills such as projection, articulation, body language, and stage presence.

To enhance presentation skills and the ability to effectively convey ideas and emotions.

Speech & Drama encourages children to find their voice and confidence, while teaching them valuable communication skills that they’ll use throughout their lives.
These classes are wonderful for shy students, children who may feel anxious about making new friends, as well as students who are already captivated by the world of drama.
